Occupation police kill a Palestinian in Jerusalem for allegedly attempting a stabbing attack News

A young Palestinian man was martyred as a result of being shot by the occupation forces at dawn on Thursday in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, for allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing attack.

The Israeli occupation police said in a statement that “its members were not injured in the operation, and that a person approached a group of security personnel near Bab al-Silsilah and pulled out a knife and attempted to carry out a stabbing attack, and that police officers opened fire on him.”

The occupation police did not provide further details about the identity of the martyr, but they imposed a security cordon at the place and deployed dozens of its members.

A video clip published by Palestinian media showed an intense security deployment of the occupation police at the site of the shooting.

This comes in light of a devastating war waged by the Israeli occupation army on the Gaza Strip, which left tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, a humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure, which led to Israel being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing “genocide.”

In parallel, Israel intensified raids and arrests in cities, villages and towns of the occupied West Bank.
