Settlers attacked olive pickers in various areas in the occupied West Bank, while the Israeli army wounded a Palestinian with live bullets, and dozens of others suffocated as a result of the firing of tear gas bombs, today, Friday.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that “its crews transferred a young man (29 years old) to the hospital after he was hit by occupation bullets in the thigh area during clashes in Urif, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.”

Eyewitnesses reported that the confrontations “erupted after Israeli forces stormed the village and positioned themselves in its center.”

Also in Nablus, settlers attacked Palestinian farmers and olive pickers in the town of Sebastia, northwest of the city, and forced them to leave their lands, according to eyewitnesses.

The olive harvest season in the West Bank annually witnesses repeated attacks by settlers on farmers, including burning and cutting down trees, stealing the crop, and preventing farmers from reaching their lands, according to Palestinian officials and citizens.

In Bethlehem, south of the West Bank, “a number of Palestinians suffered from suffocation during the Israeli army forces’ storming of the town of Al-Khader, south of the city,” according to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa).

“Wafa” reported that “the occupation forces stormed the town of Al-Khader and fired poison gas and sound bombs towards homes, causing a number of citizens to suffocate.”

In Jericho, 15 workers were injured and bruised today as a result of Israeli occupation forces beating them, north of the city.

Wafa said that the occupation police intercepted a vehicle in the town of Al-Auja carrying workers, as they were returning from their workplace in the Dead Sea, and severely beat them.

In the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, settlers opened fire on sheep shepherds in the eastern region of the town, forcing them to leave, but no injuries were reported.

In parallel with the genocide committed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, it has escalated its operations, while settlers have doubled their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Which led to the death of 741 Palestinians, including 160 children, the injury of about 6,200, and the arrest of about 11,000, according to official Palestinian sources.

In Gaza, Israel continues the genocide with full American support, which led to the death of more than 138,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, with the loss of more than 10,000 people, amid widespread destruction and a worsening famine that claimed the lives of dozens of children, in one of the worst humanitarian crises. In the world.

According to Israeli estimates, more than 720,000 Israeli occupiers live in settlements and outposts in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

Last May, the Israeli non-governmental human rights center “B’Tselem” revealed a plan by Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, which aims to displace Palestinian citizens and shepherds from their lands in the West Bank, in cooperation with settlers, considering this part of the “Israeli apartheid system.”
