Occupation arrests Palestinian on charges of attempting to carry out a run-over attack near Ramallah | News

Today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested a Palestinian near the city of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, on the pretext that he attempted to carry out a run-over attack.

The Israeli army said – in a statement published on its account on the X platform – that it had received a report of an attempted ramming attack at a gas station in the Eli settlement (northeast of Ramallah Governorate), while Palestinian platforms published scenes – quoted from Israeli media – of “a Palestinian vehicle storming” the gas station in the settlement.

The occupation army added that a Palestinian vehicle accelerated towards a police car and collided with it, without causing any injuries, noting that an army force was at the scene and arrested the Palestinian, and he was transferred for investigation by the security forces, in reference to the Shin Bet, according to the Anadolu Agency.

Palestinian platforms reported today that the occupation forces arrested 5 young men this morning and abused them at the Ein Siniya checkpoint, north of Ramallah.

In conjunction with its aggression on Gaza, the occupation escalated its military operations in the West Bank through arrests, raids, and abuse of prisoners in its prisons, in addition to the continued attacks by settlers on Palestinians and their property.
