North Korea condemned today, Tuesday, the missile shield project announced by US President Donald Trump last week and called it “the golden dome”, describing it as a nuclear war scenario in outer space.
The North Korean Foreign Ministry said that the American missile shield project is a very serious initiative, and it involves a serious threat aimed at arming space.
The ministry added – in a statement carried by the official news agency – that the project aims to threaten the strategic security of the nuclear armed countries.
North Korea itself is a nuclear force, and has repeatedly emphasized that its nuclear arsenal is not negotiable.
Last Sunday, Trump revealed in the White House in the presence of Defense Minister Beit Higseth, plans to build a missile shield under the name of the golden dome with the aim of protecting the United States from external attacks.

The US President said that the total cost of the project will approximately $ 175 billion when it was completed by the end of 2029.
The project includes a network of hundreds of satellites to monitor and track the upcoming missiles and possibly its objection, and Washington assumes that the missiles can be launched from China, North Korea or Iran.
Russia and China have previously criticized the project, and Moscow said it was “more like a stars war”, referring to the term used to denote the American strategic defense initiative during the era of President Ronald Reagan during the Cold War.
