New York: New Year’s illuminations were unveiled in Times Square

A new lighting design for the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball was revealed for the first time on Wednesday, December 27 at One Times Square, days before the iconic celebration.

A few days before the New Year, a new lighting method for the famous New Year’s Eve ball was revealed to the public this Wednesday in New York on the famous Times Square. The figures which will form the year 2024 were also revealed on the, their creation required 588 LED bulbs.

The giant luminous ball, which will be hoisted to the mast of One Time Square, a 25-story building, and will make its descent exactly at midnight for the festivities, is adorned this year with a bow tie.

The bow tie pattern was specially created in partnership with Fontainebleau Las Vegasthis globally anticipated luxury hotel and casino complex opened its doors on the Las Vegas Strip on December 13, 2023.

The traditional celebrations, in particular the descent of the luminous and sparkling ball, were able to take place for the transition to the year 2023, after two editions disrupted by the health crisis.
