The corner of a six-story building collapsed in the Bronx district of New York on Monday afternoon. The collapse “miraculously” did not cause any serious casualties, according to the city’s firefighters.
A seven-story building collapsed impressively in the Bronx neighborhood of New York.
Around thirty people lived in these apartments. After hours of searching in the rubble, no casualties were reported according to the firefighters, only two minor injuries. The occupants of the building were relocated to a nearby school.
An investigation was launched to determine the causes of the collapse of this building dating from 1927 and whose facade was being renovated, according to the city’s Mayor, Eric Adams. Three years ago, an inspection revealed several cracked bricks and an increasingly unstable general structure.
