According to the Director General of the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, the dangers around Ukrainian nuclear power plants are increasing. The proximity of the fighting and power outages at the main Zaporizhia power station are particularly worrying.

He spoke during a visit to Bure, in eastern France.

“There is a whole series of dangers which are multiplying and which, I think, will accompany us until the end of the conflict. By our continued presence, we are trying to mitigate a little, to have a deterrent effect on the whole world, to prevent the misery of this war from being aggravated by an accident with radiological consequences.”

Meanwhile, winter’s grip tightens on the soldiers on the front lines near Bakhmut and Kupiansk.

Kupiansk which was ravaged twice during the war and is today frozen in time.

On the Russian side, the Ministry of Defense released images of its air forces firing on Ukrainian targets.
