New clashes took place on Saturday during anti -immigration protests in Britain, during which the police arrested a number of demonstrators.
The demonstrators, who demanded a “collective reverse migration” campaign gathered, and in their confrontation with a group of anti -racism activists, in the center of Manchester in the northwest of England, during a march organized by the extreme right -wing “Britain”.
In London, demonstrators and others gathered their opponents in front of a hotel that is sheltering asylum seekers in the city center, as happened in previous demonstrations, some of which witnessed violence.
In Manchester, the two groups collided shortly at the beginning of the protest before the police dispersed them.
“This is a march for reverse migration,” said the 66 -year -old protester. “I repeat them from where they came, do not allow them to enter, just prevent them from arriving. We have hotels full of immigrants, while we have homeless citizens who begged food and homeless.”
On the other hand, the 60 -year -old demonstration said that she is participating in the counter -march because she “refuses to see people fill them in the streets of Manchester.”
“Do they want everyone to leave, or are they only with dark skin with dark skin? I think they want to return dark skin only.”
In London, similar clashes occurred outside the Barbican neighborhood hotel before the police intervened. London police said on the X platform that its members had evacuated the intersection of the counter -demonstrators.
She added that “9 people have been arrested so far, 7 of them on charges of disturbing public order.”
Several violent incidents have occurred in recent weeks during similar demonstrations, most of which are in the Eibeng area of London.
