A few hours after an Israeli army strike which, according to Hamas, left at least 14 dead in Rafah, rescue workers and volunteers were working to remove the bodies of the victims from the rubble.

The IDF is also being singled out for a tragedy that occurred on Thursday.

At least 110 people died during aid distribution. Israel says its army’s firing on the crowd was not the cause of the tragedy.

Our initial review confirmed that no strikes were carried out by the IDF towards the aid convoy. Majority of Palestinians killed or injured following stampede” said Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israeli army.

Since October 7, victims have continued to flock to hospitals that are still functioning.

To try to put an end to this conflict, which has left more than 30,410 dead according to Hamas, negotiations are continuing in Cairo. Discussions are well underway, according to Washington, to obtain a six-week truce within a few days.

Meanwhile, in the Gaza Strip, famine is “almost inevitable” according to the UN.
