The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, confirmed that the link between the Lebanon and Gaza fronts will continue, and that the Israelis will not return to the settlements adjacent to the Lebanese border unless the war on the Palestinian people stops.

Nasrallah said – in a televised speech today, Monday – “There is no solution for the enemy to stop the (Israeli) northern front except by stopping the war on Gaza.”

He continued, “We say to the settlers of the north, if you want to return, go to your government and tell them: Stop the war on Gaza.”

Nasrallah stressed that the first goal of the South Lebanon Front is to pressure Israel to stop its aggression against Gaza, and that support continues despite all the pressures, noting that this front “is developing its capabilities quantitatively and qualitatively in proportion to the existing circumstances and imposes equations in the field.”

He said, “The link between the Lebanese Support Front and Gaza is decisive, final, and decisive (…) This link exists between the two fronts and no one will be able to break it. The Americans and the French have accepted this fact.”

As Hezbollah’s operations continue and cause increasing losses, the United States and France are putting pressure on officials in Beirut through proposals to “separate the Gaza and southern Lebanon fronts.”

Nasrallah said, “Eight months after the start of the Gaza war, we see that the enemy is unable to achieve a decisive victory, unable to return its prisoners, unable to return its citizens to the Gaza Strip and the north, and unable to secure its ships.”

Hezbollah entered into a confrontation with Israel following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023, and the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza.

The occupation authorities were forced to evacuate tens of thousands of Israelis from settlements and towns near the border with Lebanon.
