Naim and Wadee’a | Israeli-Palestine conflict

Digidocs

This short documentary film explores the life and the time of the filmmaker’s Palestinian grandparents, Naim Azar and Wadee’a Aghabi, and the consequences they suffered in Jaffa because of the Nakba, the Ethnic Cleaning of the Palestinians by the Zionists in 1948. Their lives are withdrawn by the oral testimonies of the three girls and other parents of the couple. The film weaves personal memories to represent the life of a couple before their expulsion – and the lasting impact of the trip to their family. A film by Najwa Najjar.
