The group’s letter indicates that the Israeli army has already achieved its objectives and that the release of Israeli captives can only be achieved by an agreement.
More than 600 former Israeli security chiefs urged US President Donald Trump to end the Israel War against Gaza, the deaths of dozens of Palestinians from Israeli families caused world indignation.
The call was made in a letter sent to Trump on Sunday. His signatories include the former chief of Mossad Tamir Pardo, the former chief of Shin Bet Ami Ayalon and the former deputy chief of the Israeli army Matan Vilnai. They called for pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the conflict of almost two years, which devastated Gaza.
The letter has been sent while a fury develops on videos published by Palestinian groups showing two emaciated Israeli captives held in Gaza, where more than two million Palestinians find it difficult to survive the famine crisis.
“Everything could be achieved by force has been achieved. The hostages can no longer expect,” said commanders of the Israel Security Group (CIS) in an article on X, where he shared the letter.
The letter indicates that the Israeli army has reached two of its three objectives by force, “dismantling military training and the governance of Hamas”, but the third, bringing all the Israeli captives, can “be concluded only by an agreement”.
“Stop the war of Gaza! On behalf of CEI, the largest group of former (soldiers) generals in Israel and Mossad, Shin Bet, police and diplomatic equivalents, we urge you to end the Gaza War,” said the letter.
“You have done so in Lebanon. It is also time to do so in Gaza,” he added.

The heads of security said that Trump’s credibility is based on his ability to direct Netanyahu “in the right direction”.
Gaza has turned into rubble
Hamas said on Sunday that it was open to the Red Cross International Committee (ICRC), providing aid to the Israeli captives in Gaza after Netanyahu said he had asked the Geneva International Organization.
Netanyahu denied that famine takes place in Gaza among the Palestinians, claiming rather that the Israeli captives who have held “systematic families”.
The Qassam brigades, the army wing of Hamas, said that the captives “eat what our fighters and all our people eat”.
“They will not receive any special privilege in the middle of the famine and siege crime,” said the group’s spokesperson, known as Abu Obeida.
Rejecting international calls to a ceasefire, the Israeli army has waged a war against Gaza since October 7, 2023, killing more than 60,800 Palestinians, most women and children.
The military campaign reduced the enclave in rubble and brought it to the edge of the famine.
In November, the International Criminal Court published arrest mandates against Netanyahu and former Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for his war against the enclave. Several rights organizations have qualified the War of Israel a genocide.
