The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, the death of more than 400 Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip in the past two weeks, since the Israeli occupation army launched a genocide campaign targeting the besieged north.
Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal confirmed to Agence France-Presse that more than 400 martyrs have been deployed from various targeting locations in the northern Gaza Strip governorate, which includes Jabalia and its camp, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, since the start of the military operation of the occupation army on October 6 of this year.
The North Gaza Governorate is subjected to an Israeli campaign of genocide and siege for the 15th day in a row, by bombing homes and shelter centers, blowing up, destroying and burning entire residential neighborhoods, in addition to preventing the entry of food, water and medicine into the region amid humanitarian and health conditions that Palestinian officials describe as catastrophic.
In the same context, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today that the toll of genocide committed by Israel against the Palestinians has risen to 42,519 martyrs and 99,637 injured, since October 7, 2023.
She explained that during the past 24 hours, the Israeli army committed about 3 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, with about 19 martyrs and 91 injuries among their victims arriving in hospitals.
The Ministry indicated that there were a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and pointed out that ambulance and civil defense crews were unable to reach them.
In addition to the dead and wounded, the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip left thousands missing, massive destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure, and a deadly famine, especially in the north, which claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
Yesterday, Friday, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) spokesman James Elder said, “Conservative estimates indicate that the death toll among children in Gaza has reached more than 14,100 children.”
He added, “Gaza is the true embodiment of hell on earth for the million children in it. The situation is getting worse.”
In disdain for the international community, Israel continues its massacres in Gaza, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop them immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
