The Qatar 365 team has put together an anthology of the best moments of 2023.

Passion for sport

Although the 2022 FIFA World Cup is now behind us, Qatar’s love for sport continues unabated. Laila Humairah and Aadel Haleem hit the streets of Doha to experience different activities.

During the Qatar Open, Aadel met the great Qatari tennis player Mubaraka Al-Naimi.

From MMA to endurance in the desert

Laila was introduced to the traditional art of Taekwondo. She is always ready to take on challenges and has successfully tested the strength of her fists.

Aadel met UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and was one of the few people invited to watch a mixed martial arts (MMA) demonstration with the star.

Laila encouraged the courageous participants in an endurance event by mountain bike or on foot, run in the extreme conditions of the desert dunes.

Preserving nature and treasures of the past

The year 2023 has been generous with special moments spent surrounded by wonders of nature. Aadel had the chance to admire wild Arabian oryxes. Qatar’s iconic animal was once on the brink of extinction. Laila was able to get close to Suhail and Thuraya, the two giant pandas offered to Qatar by China.

Finally, our team was granted special access to explore behind the scenes of the Museum of Islamic Art and witness the restoration of historical objects before their exhibition in the galleries.
