The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, said that the increase in the number of officers killed in the occupation army during the battles of the Gaza Strip means an increase in the number of concentrated resistance strikes by Merkava tanks on all fronts of the fighting.

Al-Duwairi’s comment – during his military analysis for Tel Aviv Tribune – came in response to the occupation army’s announcement that 10 members of its ranks, including 7 officers, had been killed within 24 hours.

The military expert pointed out that the occupation tanks are led by officers, so the presence of 7 officers killed – according to the Israeli account – means that 7 tanks were targeted and at least 21 soldiers were also killed.

He explained this by saying that a tank in the occupation army carries a minimum of 4 and 10 in combat mode, including an officer, pointing out that these strikes reveal the advantage of the resistance fighters operating from zero distance, which ranges from sticky padding to “Al-Yassin 105” shells.

He explained that this system is in effect in the Israeli army. “Therefore, the death rate among officers is rising,” stressing at the same time that there is no solution to dealing with the “Al-Yassin 105” and Tandom anti-armor shells, as they operate with a tandem charge.

He stated that this shell cost the resistance in Gaza $50 and destroyed a tank worth $6 million. It destroyed the tank completely or partially, depending on the area it was hit.

He touched on the accuracy of resistance fighters’ attacks on military vehicles, and said that they trained to shoot at moving targets after undergoing training on structural models.

Field developments

Regarding developments on the ground, he revealed that the occupation separated the Shujaiya neighborhood from “Old Gaza” after its incursion into main roads, believing that it also divided the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood into two parts. East and west of Salah El-Din Street.

As for the systematic destruction operations in Gaza, he stressed that the leaders of the occupation army must be tried at the International Criminal Court in The Hague after committing all crimes and crossing all red lines.

He considered that granting the administration of US President Joe Biden a month to Israel until the beginning of next year to end its major operations in Gaza amounted to “a green light to accomplish something to present to Israeli society,” ruling out his success in doing so.

It is noteworthy that satellite images obtained by Tel Aviv Tribune showed the incursion of Israeli forces into main roads in the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza and their arrival at the Salah al-Din Junction, in addition to the gathering of Israeli vehicles in the Al-Faluja area, southwest of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
