Military expert: The resistance maintains the initiative in Beit Hanoun despite its limited capabilities policy

|

Military and strategic expert, Major General Wassef Erekat, said that the resistance’s performance in the Beit Hanoun area reflects high operational efficiency in exhausting the occupation forces and inflicting continuous losses on their ranks.

Erekat explained, in an analysis of the ongoing military operations in the northern Gaza Strip, that the value of these operations lies in their continuity and their ability to exert continuous military pressure on the Israeli forces.

He pointed out that the resistance succeeded in diversifying its combat tactics, using sniping operations, detonating explosive devices, and targeting military vehicles, in addition to employing mortar shells in various regions.

Tel Aviv Tribune had broadcast scenes simulating a complex operation, in which fighters from the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – killed 5 Israeli soldiers and clashed with others from zero distance in the Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced, yesterday, Saturday, that its fighters – in a complex operation in the center of the Jabalia camp – killed 3 Israeli soldiers by stabbing them with knives and took their personal weapons. Then they stormed a house in which another foot force was barricaded and killed two of its soldiers at the gate of the house, and clashed with the rest of the soldiers. This force is from zero distance.

Tangible effect

Regarding operational capabilities, the military expert confirmed that the resistance fighters still maintain the initiative on the battlefield, as they continue to target Israeli soldiers and officers with great efficiency.

He also pointed out the tangible impact of these operations on morale inside Israel, citing the statements of the leader of the Israeli opposition “Campus” party, Benny Gantz, about the necessity of stopping the war, and what was revealed by the newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” about the support of major Israeli military leaders for the prisoner exchange deal and ending military operations.

Regarding the reasons for the decline in the use of some types of weapons, such as 107 missiles and Al-Yassin missiles, Erekat explained that this is related to the nature of field work and tactical conditions.

He pointed out that the resistance fighters choose their methods and means of combat according to the available opportunities and changing field conditions.

Erekat stressed that the Palestinian resistance, although it is not a regular army with full capabilities, has succeeded in developing effective operational performance that relies on small, mobile groups.

He added that these groups are distinguished by their ability to exploit their strengths to confront the enemy’s weaknesses, with careful selection of the appropriate method and weapon for each situation, whether light weapons or anti-armor weapons.
