The Palestinian resistance factions impose their presence in the field by publishing videos on a daily basis about their operations against the occupation forces that are trying to penetrate the Jabalia camp (north) and other areas of the Gaza Strip. In contrast, the occupation does not provide any picture of its battles in Gaza.
In the latest developments, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced that its fighters blew up two Merkava 4 tanks with two explosive devices east of the city of Jabalia. Fighters of the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – also targeted a Merkava tank in Jabalia and clashed with a force next to it, leaving it dead and wounded.
The military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, confirms – in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza – that the Israeli military operations in Jabalia have faltered very significantly during these days, as a result of the operations carried out by the Palestinian resistance. He said that the occupation army is trying to penetrate deep into Jabalia and Jabalia, the country and areas Others, but it may be an easy catch for the resistance.
On the other hand, the operations of the resistance factions in the recent period ranged between direct operations and indirect operations, by confronting the advancing Israeli forces and destroying their tanks and bulldozers, in addition to sniping operations, the use of explosive devices, and direct clashes between the two sides.
Colonel Al-Falahi described the resistance operations in Gaza as qualitative and continuous, and causing huge losses to the Israeli occupation army, although he does not acknowledge these losses and sometimes tries to provide justifications, such as that the killing of his soldiers occurred by friendly fire.
He points out that voices within Israel have begun to rise at high levels regarding soldiers being killed by the resistance in Gaza, and he said that Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi stated that the army’s mission in Jabalia and Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip, is an “absurd” mission.
Also, the military operation in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, will not provide anything for the Israelis on the political and military levels, according to the military and strategic expert, who says that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on war is for political reasons.
It is likely that the losses incurred by Israel as a result of its war on Gaza will have repercussions on the Israeli economy and other aspects of life in Tel Aviv.
