Military expert: The resignation of Gantz and Eisenkot will have repercussions on the Gaza war Programs

|

The military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, does not rule out that Israel’s military situation in the Gaza Strip will be affected by the resignation of the minister in the Israeli war government, Benny Gantz, and the leader of the “State Camp” party, Gadi Eisenkot.

Today, Gantz and Eisenkot announced their resignation from the war government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a move that Colonel Al-Falahi saw as carrying many implications, given that the two men held senior positions and had strategic differences with Netanyahu.

In their previous statements, Gantz and Eisenkot accused Netanyahu – as Colonel Al-Falahi added in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza – of obstructing many strategic decisions, at the political and military levels, indicating that both men realize that Netanyahu bears responsibility for the failures that Israel suffered on the 7th. October onwards.

He said that the exit of Gantz and Eisenkot from the war government would have repercussions at the political and military levels, noting that many of the matters that were presented by the two men to the war council were not taken into account, and some decisions were reserved for political goals.

The military and strategic expert added that the successive resignations of the Israeli military leaders at this time confirm that the problem is very large, and that investigations into the issue of the failures that took place on October 7 and beyond are coming during the coming period.

The commander of the Gaza Division, Brigadier General Avi Rosenfeld, announced his resignation from his position, explaining that it was due to his failure in “the mission of protecting the Gaza envelope area” during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle on October 7 last year.

Field developments

In his reading of the developments on the ground in the Gaza Strip, Colonel Al-Falahi mentioned that the northern region of the Gaza Strip is subject to Israeli bombing, especially in the Jabalia area, and incursions into other areas such as Al-Zaytoun and Tal Al-Hawa.

For their part, the Palestinian resistance factions continue their operations through sniping and destroying occupation tanks, in addition to entering into confrontations with the invading Israeli forces, which are trying to secure the Netzarim axis, in which there are sectors led by the 99th Division.

The central region was also subjected to intense Israeli bombing today, and Colonel Al-Falahi suggested that the aim of the bombing may be to cover the withdrawal of the 98th Division, which penetrated towards Bureij and Deir al-Balah.

In Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian resistance is carrying out operations in many areas, targeting tanks and bulldozers of the occupation forces, and is exhausting them in these areas, as the military and strategic expert explained.
