The military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, said that Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi’s request from his command for 15 battalions confirms that the occupation suffers from a severe shortage of combat power that enables it to continue its battle over the Gaza Strip.

Al-Falahi added – in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza – that the occupation army suffers from a severe shortage in sectors, especially as it faces threats not only in the Gaza Strip, but also in the West Bank and on the northern front with Lebanon, where the confrontation is escalating very significantly.

In the opinion of Colonel Al-Falahi, the lack of combat power in the Israeli army embarrasses the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, which passed the law that exempts Haredi youth (ultra-Orthodox Jews) from military service.

There are 10 brigades fighting in the Gaza Strip, 5 brigades in the south, 3 brigades on the Netzarim axis, and two brigades led by the 98th Division towards the central region of the Gaza Strip.

Regarding field developments in the Gaza Strip, the military and strategic expert indicated that the Israeli military operation in Rafah, south of the Strip, is proceeding very slowly, and the occupation army stated that the percentage of its incursion into the city of Rafah does not exceed 50% or less, explaining that the occupation army is making an incursion and then withdrawing, That is, he conducts forceful reconnaissance operations to find out the sources of fire that could emanate from that area.

He said that the occupation army is trying to return again to the Al-Shaboura area in the city of Rafah, and that there are direct confrontations with resistance fighters in this area.

The Palestinian resistance carried out a house bombing in the Shaboura area last Monday, and the occupation army confirmed that an officer and 3 soldiers were killed during the operation, and that their bodies were recovered from the place, and 6 others were seriously injured.

On the other hand, Colonel Al-Falahi stated that the occupation army, to secure the Netzarim axis, is carrying out operations towards the north and south of the Gaza Strip to prevent the resistance factions from reaching this axis, and therefore its operations are towards the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, Juhr Al-Dik and other areas.
