Military Expert: The Occupation Has No Plans in Gaza at the Present Time Other Than to Stay and Commit Massacres | News

Retired Major General Wassef Erekat, a military and strategic expert, said that the Israeli occupation army’s talk shifted from military plans and stages at the beginning of the war to remaining inside the Gaza Strip and committing crimes and massacres.

Erekat explained – during his analysis of the military scene in Gaza – that there is no voice in Israel currently louder than the voice of the army remaining in Gaza and carrying out repeated incursions and blowing up buildings.

He pointed out that the occupation army has become a copy of the Zionist gangs that carried out massacres and crimes in 1948, and is currently doing so in Gaza and the West Bank, adding that “the Israeli army gangs have become genocidal, ethnic cleansing and committing war crimes.”

He stressed that these soldiers, who wear uniforms and are equipped with lethal weapons, “do not face an army in Gaza, but are charged with a culture of hatred and malice,” based on the Israeli videos that are broadcast and incite the killing of children and enjoy it.

Regarding the Israeli army’s withdrawal from areas in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip after a 22-day military operation, Erekat said that what is happening has nothing to do with military operations.

He pointed out that this is not the first time that the occupation has stormed Khan Yunis, after December 2023 and July 2024, as it failed miserably the two previous times and withdrew under the pressure of fighting and confrontation, incurring heavy losses.

He concluded that the one leading the Israeli army in Gaza is the General Security Service (Shabak), based on information gathered from the field and Palestinian prisoners in prisons under the effects of torture, stressing that this army “lacks moral and human values and lacks security and intelligence information.”
