Military and strategic expert Hatem Karim Al-Falahi described the release of 4 detainees by the Israeli occupation in the Nuseirat area in the central Gaza Strip as a “tactical achievement,” and warned the resistance factions to take into account that the Israeli army will carry out similar operations.

Simultaneously with its announcement of the implementation of a special operation that led to the recovery of 4 detainees alive, the occupation committed a massacre in the Nuseirat camp, which – according to the Gaza Ministry of Health – has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 150 Palestinians, most of them children and women, in addition to the injury of dozens.

Colonel Al-Falahi said – in an analysis of the military scene in Gaza – that the Israeli army succeeded in freeing 4 detainees out of a total of 130 or more, which means that it is merely a “tactical achievement,” indicating that Israel had previously failed to reach the detainees and there were those who were killed. By her army.

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari announced that 4 detainees had been rescued in a joint operation by the IDF, the Israeli General Security Service (Shin Bet), and the Israel Police.

Colonel Al-Falahi warned that the Israeli military operation in the Nuseirat area may push Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to go for the option of military pressure in order to reach the rest of the detainees.

It is likely that the process of liberating 4 detainees will be the beginning of other military operations in the region, and the Palestinian resistance factions must take this into account.

On the other hand, the military and strategic expert suggested that the occupation army’s access to the four detainees was based on accurate intelligence information, and that there may have been an internal intelligence breach that helped in the process of reaching them.

The participation of the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the Israeli Police in the implementation process gives a clear indication – adds Colonel Al-Falahi – that the information had been in the possession of the Israelis for some time, and that there were plans and investigations for the purpose of reaching the targeted area.

He said that the released detainees will undergo a very careful investigation process in order to learn many details that can help the Israeli security services reach the rest of the detainees.
