Military and strategic expert Brigadier General Hassan Jouni said that the renewed Israeli raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut are a new wave of military and psychological pressure, and “messages of blood, destruction, and brutality” directed at Hezbollah, the state, and Lebanese society.

The Brigadier General, in an analysis of the developments in the military scene in Lebanon, refuted the Israeli occupation’s allegations of the existence of Hezbollah weapons stores in the southern suburb, and explained, “Even if they existed, they would have been destroyed since the first Israeli strikes on the suburb.” He wondered: Why did the occupation wait so long to destroy what it claimed were weapons in the buildings?
He added that the goal of the occupation is destruction, and what it did in the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon confirms this, as it destroyed the municipality building, which is an official authority of the Lebanese state.
The Israeli army announced that it struck dozens of Hezbollah targets in the Nabatieh area and dismantled what it called “underground infrastructure,” according to its claim.
Flexible defensive maneuvers
In his reading of field developments, the military and strategic expert explained that the addition of units from the 210th Division to combat in southern Lebanon confirms that the occupation army is working to expand its military maneuvers. This division is concentrated in the Shebaa Farms area and the occupied Golan and aims to search for Hezbollah fighters and destroy their infrastructure. Brigadier General Johnny pointed out that the occupation army has been seeking in the last two days to achieve breakthroughs on several fronts in southern Lebanon, and is carrying out mobile offensive maneuvers. On the other hand, Hezbollah has been carrying out flexible and consistent defensive maneuvers so far, and its fighters continue to confront the occupying army in all directions.
He said that there are 40,000 Israeli soldiers fighting in southern Lebanon, with massive support from the air, land and sea, but so far the fighting is taking place on the contact lines, on the front borders and in the front villages.
According to the military and strategic expert, Hezbollah fighters are carrying out a defensive maneuver for the tenth day, programmed in accordance with the Israeli offensive maneuver, the capabilities of the party itself, and field developments.
He said that Hezbollah is fighting according to the fighting style of a regular and traditional army, but it will return to unconventional operations and guerrilla warfare by implementing ambushes, traps, and other means when it faces the Israeli incursion.
