Military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Al-Falahi, confirmed that the military occupation operation in the West Bank is based on specific intelligence information, as it targets specific geographical locations and specific figures, which indicates the availability of accurate security and intelligence information to the occupation army.
He added – during the military analysis section – that Israel is using excessive force to confront Palestinian resistance fighters in many areas, especially in Jenin and Tulkarm.
He explained that the military operation, which the Israeli Chief of Staff calls a “military campaign,” has been ongoing for four days in different areas of the West Bank, and includes large-scale military operations carried out by forces from the Central Region Brigade (777 Brigade) and other special units.
Al-Falahi pointed out that Israel seeks through this campaign to prevent the opening of a new combat front in the West Bank, especially after the recent bombing in Tel Aviv, and its fear of possible infiltration operations into the areas occupied in 1948.
In the expert’s opinion, the Palestinian resistance currently lacks the necessary infrastructure to engage in a long-term confrontation with the occupation, in light of the limited capabilities and capacities available, noting that the resistance fighters are trying to confront it with the modest capabilities they have.
He stressed that the continued raids, arrests and bombing by the occupation army in the West Bank constitute a challenge imposed by Israel on the resistance factions, which in turn seek to confront it despite the lack of capabilities and resources, noting that merely standing firm in the face of this campaign represents an achievement in itself for the Palestinian resistance at this stage.
