Military expert: For these reasons, the resistance can confront the occupation forces in the Zaytoun neighborhood Programs

The Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, north of the Strip, is witnessing fierce confrontations between Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli occupation army, in a development that the military and strategic expert, Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi, believes that the resistance is ready for.

The Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – had previously published a video clip showing its forces shelling Israeli forces with mortar shells following battles south of the Zaytoun neighborhood. The clip also showed the Israeli helicopter evacuating the dead and wounded.

Commenting on these developments, the military and strategic expert confirms – in his military analysis on Tel Aviv Tribune – that the Palestinian resistance possesses capabilities that enable it to confront the occupation forces once again penetrating the Al-Zaytoun and Jabalia neighborhoods (north of the Gaza Strip), as it is active in a friendly environment that knows its entrances and exits, and secondly, It makes it easier for the resistance fighters to monitor the heavy Israeli sectors when they penetrate and advance into Palestinian cities.

The resistance also has the capabilities and very accurate intelligence information to monitor Israeli forces during their entry and exit, which was demonstrated by the photography operations broadcast by the resistance factions, as happened in the Netzarim axis.

Colonel Al-Falahi points out that the Al-Qassam Brigades used in their recent operations the “60 mm” mortar, which is suitable for clashes in a very close area. He explained that it is light and carried quickly, and is also used to completely paralyze the targeted area.

On the other hand, the military and strategic expert says that the Israeli occupation lacks large sectors that would enable it to penetrate the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and the rest of the areas, especially those that advance to the right and left.

He explained that the Israeli army has 13 divisions, most of which are occupied in other areas, and if it wants to penetrate again into the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, it needs sectors larger than the Nahal Brigade, noting that the reserve sectors have weak combat capabilities compared to the regular forces.

It is noteworthy that the “Israel Today” newspaper quoted sources in the Israeli occupation army as saying that the Hamas movement had reorganized its forces in the Zaytoun neighborhood, indicating that this endangered the occupation army forces in the Netzarim axis.
