Military and strategic expert Colonel Hatem Karim Al-Falahi confirmed that the Beit Lahia area in the northern Gaza Strip has turned into a swamp and a large area of attrition for the Israeli occupation forces.

Al-Falahi described – during the military analysis section – the operations carried out by the resistance during the past days as qualitative, which included destroying a bulldozer, destroying a Merkava tank, and striking a fortified force, in addition to a clash with a military force.

Al-Falahi explained that the resistance sent a clear message to the occupation army that it would appear in the unexpected place, citing the destruction of a Merkava tank in the western Saftawi area, and the direct clash with 15 Israeli soldiers in Beit Lahia.

Regarding the field developments of the resistance’s military operations in the Gaza Strip, the military expert pointed out that they are distributed over multiple geographical areas in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to an unexpectedly high rate of casualties among the Israeli army, stressing that the military operation in the northern region is not commensurate with its declared objectives.

The military expert pointed out that there are voices inside Israel that have begun to confirm that the military operation has completely exhausted its objectives, and that any new military action in the Gaza Strip will lead to losses in the prisoner file, which requires stopping the fighting and heading towards an exchange deal.

Netanyahu’s insistence

However, Al-Falahi considered that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s insistence on continuing military action was linked to his political future and the future of his government, explaining that stopping the fighting was not in his personal interest.

Regarding the military operation in the northern Gaza Strip, Al-Falahi explained that the Israeli statements speak of its end and the imminent withdrawal from the region, despite the massive displacement operations carried out by the occupation forces against civilians under the pretext of turning it into a purely military zone.

On the interactive map, Suhaib Al-Assa explained that Hezbollah’s bombing deep inside Israel reached a distance of 150 kilometers, targeting a military base east of the city of Ashdod, while ground operations between the two sides are concentrated in the eastern and western sectors of the Lebanese-Israeli border.

The map showed that military operations are taking place on two main axes, as the occupation army in the eastern sector is trying to control the strategic Khiam area, which gives those who control it an advantage in controlling the entire region, while Hezbollah announced that it struck Israeli forces 4 times east of Khiam.

In the western sector, the stick indicated an Israeli advance through Tayr Harfa and Al-Shama, where Israeli forces reached the outskirts of Bayyada at a depth of between 8 and 9 kilometers inside Lebanese territory, in the deepest incursion since the beginning of the confrontations.

Hot axes

In his reading of the situation on the northern front, Al-Falahi indicated the presence of 3 hot axes out of 4 or 5 Israeli divisions in the region, explaining that the 146th Division is advancing towards Tayr Harfa, Al-Shamaa and Al-Bayyada in the western axis.

He added that the Israeli forces are in the area between Shama and Al-Bayyada, amid heavy missile strikes on the advancing forces, pointing to the occupation army’s attempts to control Al-Shama to secure the rear base for the forces heading towards Al-Bayyada.

On the eastern axis, Al-Falahi pointed out that there are 3 sub-axes: eastern, southern and northern, heading towards Ibn al-Saqi to encircle the area, stressing that there has been no tangible military progress in controlling Khiam.

As for the central region axis, he explained that the 36th Division is advancing very slowly towards Bint Jbeil, with no ability to control the area, indicating that the Israeli forces are trying to advance while avoiding losses, especially after the losses incurred by the Golani Brigade.
