At least 13 people were killed in airstrikes in the city of Rafah, according to Hamas. The UN Secretary-General has renewed his call for a ceasefire.
Despite calls for restraint from several countries including the United States, Israel continues its offensive against Hamas in southern Gaza. At least 13 people were killed in airstrikes in the town of Rafah, according to local authorities, controlled by Hamas.
The UN Secretary General renewed his call for a ceasefire: “Rafah is at the heart of the entire humanitarian aid operation, and multiple offensives against the city would be devastating for the 1.5 million Palestinian civilians there already on the brink of survival. I called for repeatedly for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and a humanitarian ceasefire.”
Further violence also took place in Israel, where a Palestinian gunman opened fire at the bus station in the town of Kiryat Malakhi. At least two people were killed and four others injured… The attacker himself was shot dead by an armed civilian.
Hostilities also continue along the border between the Jewish state and Lebanon. Several houses were damaged by Hezbollah rockets targeting the town of Kiryat Shmona. Lebanese army movement says it will make Israel pay “by blood” the price of civilians killed in Lebanon during the week.
