Massive destruction and the bodies of martyrs run over by tanks… the effects of the occupation after its withdrawal from Beit Lahia | News

The withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from some areas of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip revealed massive destruction in homes, infrastructure, and civil and service facilities, and large numbers of bodies were found in the streets, run over by tanks.

Quoting eyewitnesses, the Anadolu Agency correspondent reported that a state of cautious calm prevailed in several areas in the northern Gaza Strip, coinciding with the return of large numbers of displaced people in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza City, to the northern Gaza Strip, especially the towns of Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and Beit Hanoun.

He explained that Israeli military vehicles are still on the outskirts of these towns, and there are a large number of martyrs’ bodies in the streets that were run over by tanks.

Several areas in the northern Gaza Strip were subjected to intense Israeli bombing during the past days, especially the Beit Lahia project area and its surrounding areas, resulting in the death of more than 50 martyrs in the bombing of a residential square belonging to the families of Khair al-Din, al-Kurd, al-Mughrabi, and Khalif, according to the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudra.

The widespread and unprecedented destruction of residential areas in Beit Lahia shocked, astonished and astonished the returning townspeople.

The young man, Muhammad Muslim, a resident of Beit Lahia, says that the occupation army destroyed the town in a massive way during its ground incursion. He added that tanks bulldozed the town’s streets, destroyed the infrastructure, including water and sewage lines, and a lighting network, and uprooted trees, in addition to destroying residential buildings with air strikes and artillery.

He confirmed that they are living in a state of shock after seeing their residential area completely destroyed and completely unfit for living.

As for the elderly Abdul Karim Hammad, he stood in amazement for some time contemplating the devastation and destruction that befell the Beit Lahia project area. He said that the planes destroyed homes and residential areas, and then tanks and bulldozers penetrated and bulldozed and destroyed more of the town. He said, “This area is no longer as we knew it before.” .

Last week, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned, in a statement, of the catastrophic conditions in Gaza and the north with the escalation of the intensity of Israeli military operations there.

Since the seventh of last October, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that, as of Saturday evening, has left 21,672 martyrs, 56,165 wounded, most of them children and women, massive destruction of infrastructure, and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
