At dawn on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces stormed Palestinian towns in the occupied West Bank and launched a campaign of raids and arrests, while settlers stormed the Palestinian archaeological site of the Sanctuary of Ramah in the city of Hebron in the south of the West Bank, under the protection of the occupation forces.

Palestinian media said that the occupation forces stormed the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, at dawn today, and also stormed the town of Madama, south of Nablus in the West Bank, and arrested young Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes.

The occupation forces also stormed a number of neighborhoods in the city of Qalqilya in the West Bank, carried out a massive arrest campaign, and vandalized the property of Palestinian citizens.

Palestinian media reported that the arrest campaign included freed prisoner Hassan Melhem, who was arrested by the occupation forces at dawn today after raiding and searching his home in the city of Qalqilya.

The occupation forces also stormed the vicinity of the old and new Askar camps, east of Nablus, and arrested a young Palestinian man named Badr Hashash after raiding his family’s home and destroying its contents.

Settlers incursions

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that settlers, protected by the Israeli occupation forces, stormed the Palestinian archaeological site of the Haram al-Rama well in the city of Hebron in the south of the West Bank.

The settlers’ buses were accompanied by a number of military vehicles, while the occupation soldiers mounted the roofs of the buildings, and sniper soldiers deployed in the residential buildings opposite the site to secure the settlers’ storming.

Settlers storm the archaeological site on most of their religious occasions and perform Talmudic dances and rituals on a permanent basis.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the Israeli occupation forces began storming the Al-Fawwar camp south of Hebron, and reported that the occupation forces fired tear gas bombs at the camp gate in preparation for advancing on it.

Settlers in Al-Aqsa courtyards

In occupied Jerusalem, thousands of Israeli extremists participated yesterday, Wednesday, in what is known as the flag march that passes through the Old City of occupied Jerusalem to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the occupation of East Jerusalem and its annexation to Israel. Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and Israeli Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich participated in the march.

Haaretz newspaper said that a group of Jewish youths carried out acts of vandalism in the Old City of Jerusalem and directed insults and threats to Palestinians and journalists there.

The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem announced the closure of the Mughrabi Gate after 1,184 settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on the so-called “Jerusalem Unification Day,” amid tight security guards from the occupation forces.

Settlers raised Israeli flags at the Qattanin Gate in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The so-called “temple organizations” called for the largest storming of Al-Aqsa yesterday, Wednesday, and the Israeli police announced the mobilization of about 3,000 of its forces to protect the flag march.

Warnings

Al-Aqsa institutions warned of the consequences of the mosque being invaded by extremist Jewish groups, and the official spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeina, warned that the war of genocide and the flag march in Jerusalem crosses all red lines and pushes matters towards a comprehensive explosion.

Abu Rudeina stressed that all of this will not change the reality of the city of Jerusalem, which is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.

He explained that the march constitutes a violation of all international laws that consider Jerusalem to be occupied Palestinian land, and a blatant provocation of Arab, Islamic and Christian feelings.

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned the Israeli occupation against continuing what it described as its criminal policies towards Al-Aqsa Mosque, and said that the march of flags in occupied Jerusalem is an aggression against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.

She added that allowing settlers to organize the so-called flag march in the streets of occupied Jerusalem, and the attacks and violations that accompany it, confirms the occupation’s efforts to Judaize the holy sites, and that it is an aggression against the feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims in the world.

The movement called on the Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the occupied interior to mobilize and confront the occupation’s plans towards Al-Aqsa Mosque.
