The Israeli occupation army carried out night raids on residential areas in Gaza, resulting in martyrs and injuries, and the destruction of more buildings. Meanwhile, resistance operations against the occupation forces in the Strip are escalating.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that two Palestinians were killed and others were injured – early Thursday – as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a house in the Al-Fakhoura area in the Jabalia camp, north of Gaza.

Palestinian sources said that the two martyrs were from Jabalia and they were the young man Musab al-Kurdi – a member of the Civil Defense – and his wife.

Video clips showed civil defense crews searching through the rubble for survivors of the bombing.

Recently, Israeli targeting of Jabalia camp and other areas in the northern Gaza Strip has increased.

Raids and bombing of buildings

Early today, Israeli warplanes launched a raid on a house in the Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City, killing 5 Palestinians, according to Al-Aqsa TV.

Israeli aircraft also launched raids on the Al-Rimal neighborhood and other areas in Gaza City.

At the same time, Israeli artillery intensively targeted the eastern areas of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.

Also in the Zeitoun neighborhood, the Israeli army blew up residential buildings in the neighborhood before dawn today.

Al-Aqsa TV said that explosions caused by the demolition of buildings in the southern areas of Gaza City were heard throughout the Strip.

She added that Israeli helicopters opened fire at dawn today on Al-Bureij camp in the middle of the besieged Strip.

Yesterday, the occupation forces bombed a school sheltering displaced people in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of 8 Palestinians, including 5 children and 2 women.

An airstrike also targeted a house housing displaced people in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis, killing 7 people, including 3 children.

Medical sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that 42 Palestinians were killed yesterday in Israeli shelling of various areas in the Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, more than 41,000 people have been killed and 95,000 injured as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Operations are escalating

In military developments, resistance operations have escalated in the past few days, especially in Rafah and the Netzarim axis, resulting in the killing and wounding of many Israeli soldiers.

The Al-Qassam Brigades announced in a statement that its fighters targeted a building in which a large number of occupation soldiers were holed up in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah with a guided missile the day before yesterday afternoon, which led to the killing and wounding of those inside.

The Qassam statement came after the Israeli army announced yesterday morning that 4 soldiers, including an officer, were killed and 7 others were injured, 4 of them seriously, in Rafah.

This brings the number of Israeli soldiers killed since Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa to 714, according to Israeli statistics.

The Israeli Army Radio said that the booby-trapped building that exploded with the soldiers the day before yesterday in Rafah is one of thousands of buildings that Hamas has booby-trapped.

The Israeli radio added – quoting army officers – that in Rafah alone, there are more than 14,000 buildings that Hamas has booby-trapped to target soldiers.

She added that the soldiers were killed only one week after the army announced the elimination of the Rafah Brigade, and the Israeli radio indicated that what happened in the city confirms that even if the Hamas battalions are eliminated, the militants will continue to target the soldiers.

The Israeli Army Radio expected that the war in Gaza would remain in the form of battles waged by militants with explosions and anti-tank missiles.
