Martyrs in Israeli raids on Gaza and new incursion into Rafah | News

17 Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Sunday in separate Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, while Israeli vehicles again penetrated the center of the southern city of Rafah.

A medical source reported that 4 martyrs and 15 wounded arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted a house in the Al-Hakr area in the city of Deir al-Balah (central).

The source indicated that a number of other Palestinians were injured as a result of an Israeli raid in the vicinity of Al-Baraka Street in the same city.

In Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, a medical source at the European Gaza Hospital reported the arrival of 4 martyrs as a result of an Israeli bombardment that targeted a house north of Rafah city.

Two Palestinians were also killed in Israeli artillery shelling of the town of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis. Another Palestinian was killed and another was injured when an Israeli quadcopter fired at citizens in the vicinity of Tabat al-Nuwairi, west of al-Nuseirat camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that 7 Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted Kafr Qasim School, which houses displaced people in the Al-Shati camp, west of Gaza City.

Bombing and explosions

The Israeli artillery stationed in the Netzarim axis south of Gaza City shelled the Sheikh Ajlin and Tal al-Hawa neighborhoods southwest of the city, in conjunction with gunfire from helicopters south of Tal al-Hawa.

The Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, witnessed violent explosions, artillery shelling, and gunfire from Israeli vehicles in the areas of penetration into the neighborhood, while Israeli helicopters opened fire in the southeastern areas.

Also, Israeli artillery shelling resumed in the vicinity of the Islamic Complex and Abu Sharia Square in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, without any reported casualties.

penetrate into rafah

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli vehicles again penetrated the vicinity of the Arab schools north of Rafah city, amidst heavy gunfire and artillery shelling in the Shaboura camp and the Al-Janina neighborhood in the center and east of the city, according to local sources.

The same sources added that the Israeli army continued its operations of bombing and destroying residential buildings east and west of Rafah city, where the sounds of violent explosions were heard in Khan Yunis Governorate in the south.

Last May, the Israeli army announced the start of a large-scale military operation in Rafah, which is crowded with displaced people, despite international warnings about the repercussions of this. It took control of the city’s border crossing with Egypt and prevented the entry of aid and the movement of patients and wounded to receive treatment abroad, which exacerbated the humanitarian situation in the besieged sector for 18 years.

With American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, leaving more than 137,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and deadly famine.
