The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that a young man was killed by Israeli army gunfire south of Bethlehem, and others were injured by occupation forces gunfire in several towns in the West Bank.

The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, said that the occupation forces shot a young man at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem (south), wounding him.

She added that the Israeli army closed the area and prevented ambulance crews and citizens from reaching the injured person.

In another case, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its crews transported a 46-year-old injured man suffering from bruises all over his body after he was assaulted by the occupation forces at the Tayasir checkpoint, at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that a young man was injured by live bullets during confrontations with the occupation in the Al-Dhahr area in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent indicated that two boys were injured by occupation bullets in confrontations that broke out in the village of Salem, east of Nablus.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent had reported that settlers attacked the village of Burin, south of Nablus, and burned agricultural lands east of the village.

Hamas denounces

Moreover, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) denounced the escalation of settlers in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, Hamas called on the Palestinian people and their rebellious youth in all areas of the occupied West Bank to “rise up and confront settler terrorism, and clash with this arrogant enemy who only understands the language of force, to deter him from his aggression and barbarism.”

It also called for “escalating the resistance until all our national rights are restored, foremost of which is the establishment of our fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

In conjunction with its war on Gaza, the occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks on the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, which left 548 dead, about 5,200 wounded, and more than 9,185 Palestinian detainees, according to official Palestinian authorities.

While the devastating Israeli war on Gaza resulted in more than 122,000 Palestinians being martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens, most of them children.

Israel continues its war on Gaza, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah (south), and to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.

Tel Aviv is also challenging the request of International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan to issue arrest warrants against its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and its Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, for their responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
