Thousands demonstrated in Jordan and Yemen to denounce the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which has entered its fourth month. The marches called on the Arab countries to support Gaza and not leave it alone in the face of the Israeli aggression. They also chanted in support of the resistance and its project.
In the Jordanian capital, Amman, thousands of Jordanians demonstrated after Friday prayers, in support of Gaza, to denounce the crime of assassinating the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Saleh Al-Arouri, in the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, a few days ago.
The march began in front of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the downtown area of the capital, reaching Palm Square (one kilometer away from the mosque), at the invitation of party and union forces, including the Jordanian Forum for Supporting the Resistance.
The demonstrators in the march, which came under the slogan “Gaza is not alone,” raised pictures of the martyr Al-Arouri, and accused the American administration of providing a military and political umbrella for the occupation forces, to carry out crimes and massacres against the Palestinian people and civilians in Gaza, in addition to a policy of starvation and siege that has continued for 3 months.
The participants chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian resistance, such as, “Arouri, “Relax, relax, we are part of the struggle,” “We do not compromise on freedom, oh resistance, oh beloved, strike the dawn of Tel Aviv,” and “Strike your hand to a cup of fire, oh Palestinian, oh mighty.”
The participants presented a large banner reading, “Friday of Martyrs…Gaza is not alone,” and on it was a picture of the deputy head of the Hamas political bureau, Saleh Al-Arouri, and his companions who were martyred in Israeli attacks.
Al-Arouri was one of 7 Hamas cadres assassinated by Israel in a raid on the movement’s headquarters in the southern suburb of Beirut on January 2.
The participants in the march raised a picture of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with the Nazi slogan on it, and wrote on it, “You are a Zionist. We will not forget you in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, and we will not.. and will not.. and will not.”
Yemen demonstrations
In Yemen, several events were organized in solidarity with Gaza and to denounce the crimes of the Israeli occupation against innocent civilians.
Demonstrators in the city of Taiz denounced the international community’s negligent stance towards what is happening in Gaza, including a war of annihilation of the population and the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
In two marches in the city after Friday prayers, the demonstrators denounced what the Israeli war machine is doing against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the cities of occupied Palestine.
Demonstrators in the city of Ma’rib, eastern Yemen, demanded that a strict Arab and Islamic stance be taken towards the Israeli aggression, the implementation of the decisions of the Arab and Islamic summit, and breaking the siege on Gaza.
The demonstrators called for continued demonstrations and escalation in all countries in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The Al-Aqsa Support Committee, affiliated with the Ansar Allah Houthi group, also organized a massive demonstration in Al-Sabeen Square in the capital, Sana’a, in solidarity with the Palestinians, and to demand an end to the war on Gaza. The march was titled “The blood of the free…on the path to victory.”
