Major General Al-Sammadi: Operation Al-Qassam confirmed that the tunnels are one of the secrets of the Gaza war news

The military and strategic expert, Major General Muhammad Al-Samadi, said that the operation carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – joins the successful operations in the series of attrition of the occupation army.

Today, Saturday, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades broadcast scenes of the detonation of a booby-trapped tunnel eye in an Israeli engineering force in the Al-Rayyan area, east of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Major General Al-Sammadi said – in an analysis of the military scene in the Gaza Strip – that the Gaza tunnels are one of the secrets of war, and until now the Israeli occupation has not been able to access a map of the tunnels.

Despite the occupation’s use of British seismic detection aircraft and water pumps to flood the tunnels, in addition to trained dogs, the Palestinian resistance in Gaza is able to turn the tunnels into ambushes for the occupation forces.

Major General Al-Sammadi pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces that deal with the tunnels and search for them are among the trained engineering units equipped with superior and high-quality technological equipment, but this equipment is of no use to them with the primitive means used by Al-Qassam and the rest of the resistance factions to booby-trap the tunnels.

What draws attention – Major General Al-Sammadi continues – is that the resistance factions exploit the weaknesses of the occupation army, exploit them, and innovate in carrying out their operations, indicating that this is not the first time that the resistance has resorted to blowing up tunnels in the occupation forces.

The Al-Qassam Brigades had previously announced that it had lured Israeli forces into tunnel openings and blown them up, causing deaths and injuries among its ranks. This happened in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, and in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.

Regarding the capabilities of the resistance in Rafah in light of the occupation army’s claims that it was able to eliminate it, Major General Al-Sammadi spoke of an unequal war, between a regular army and forces fighting in small groups, but such as the operation carried out by the Qassam Brigades in Rafah does not require large forces, and may be carried out by Before one or two fighters.

The military and strategic expert expects that the Palestinian resistance will continue to carry out its operations in many locations in the Gaza Strip, and the occupation army will not be able to enter with paratroopers or mechanized infantry units into the Gaza areas for the purpose of clearing them and searching for fighters or tunnel networks, because it will be exposed to more losses.

The occupation army faces a major challenge in the Gaza Strip, because it has become extremely frustrated and exhausted as a result of the war, while – Major General Al-Sammadi continues – the capabilities of the Palestinian resistance are increasing and their determination to continue fighting increases.
