Major General Al-Duwairi explains the reasons for the return of northern Gaza to the forefront of events News

The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, said that the return of the northern Gaza Strip region to the forefront of events is linked to several factors, including that the Israeli occupation, when it announced the transition to the third phase, coupled this with measures on the ground.

On the 106th day of the Israeli war on Gaza, clashes renewed between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

Al-Duwairi explained – in his daily military analysis on Tel Aviv Tribune – that the northern region had 3 Israeli divisions that took long paths of military operations, including the 36th Division, which was supported by elite forces of paratroopers and others.

The Israelis claimed at the time, through their Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, that they had taken control of the northern region, dismantled the structural organization of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), killed 9,000 resistance fighters, and destroyed 700 rocket launching pads.

Al-Duwairi pointed out that the occupation forces conducted withdrawals, but clashes continued at a distance with Palestinian resistance fighters, stressing that the forces that withdrew were concentrated in the north and east of Gaza and remained in a state of combat readiness, while the 36th Division was sent to the center and was replaced by the 99th Division.

The Israeli goals were clear: to continue artillery, missile, drone and other bombardment, and to track any movement on the ground in the Palestinian areas.

On the other hand, the military and strategic expert confirms that the resistance brigades were restructured into 12 battalions, with the Gaza Brigade and the Northern Brigade, and the boundaries of operational responsibility for these units were redrawn, as they began to exercise their activity above the ground.

Commenting on the video published earlier by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Hamas movement – regarding the targeting of Israeli vehicles east of Jabalia, north of Gaza, Al-Duwairi spoke about the mechanism of action of the resistance men, saying:
“The way the battle is managed now is different from before.”
