French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the necessity of stopping the launch of Gaza without discussion, saying that this position reflects that Europe is not a double standard, as he put it.

This came in a speech delivered by the French President on Tuesday in English in front of the British Parliament in London.

Macron said that recognition of the Palestinian state is the only way to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East region, calling for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

The French President stressed that “recognition of a Palestinian state is the only way to establish peace in the region.”

“Today’s call for an unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, it is simply a message to the world that, as Europeans, we do not make standards. We want a ceasefire without discussion.”

This comes in light of the war of genocide launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip since October 20, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders to the International Court of Justice to stop it.

The Israeli genocide, with American support, left more than 194,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10 thousand missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and the famine that has been tired of many children, including children.
