The Israeli occupation forces released an unidentified Palestinian prisoner, who was arrested in the city of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip and remained detained for months.

The doctors who received the prisoner after his release said that they were unable to determine his identity due to his memory loss under torture, in addition to the severe pain he was suffering from and the effects of bullets and shrapnel on his body.

Doctors at the Gaza European Hospital sent a call across the island to identify him.

This is not the first time that the occupation has released prisoners who are in extremely deteriorating physical and mental conditions as a result of the severe torture they face.

On June 20, the occupation released Gazan prisoner Badr Dahlan (29 years old), who appeared in a distressed position with traces of torture visible on his face, hands, and the rest of his thin body.

Dahlan also seemed to be in a disastrous psychological state, as he could not complete his words easily, but rather stuttered, while his eyes were bulging, and he was in a state of hallucinations and his speech was unclear.

Thousands of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons suffer from outbreaks of diseases due to poor conditions in detention centers, including scabies, which is spreading rapidly among prisoners due to poor detention conditions, especially children.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Authority (official) warned in early June that child prisoners in Megiddo prison were suffering from the spread of scabies, which had become widespread as a result of being deprived of bathing, having their clothes confiscated, and being prevented from bringing in soap, shampoo, detergents, and disinfectants.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said earlier this month that it had received new testimonies from Palestinian detainees, released from Israeli prisons and detention centers, confirming the continued systematic commission of crimes of violent torture and inhuman treatment against thousands of Palestinian civilians.

The Observatory added – in a report issued in this regard – that the Israeli occupation forcefully injected Palestinian prisoners who were arrested during the war on the Gaza Strip with unknown substances, which left scars and distinct marks on their bodies. It also said that the occupation practices murder, rape, and other forms of sexual violence and torture against prisoners and detainees. .

The Ministry of Prisoners in Gaza said that the number of prisoners held by the occupation exceeded 9,000, including 300 women, 635 children, and 80 journalists during the war of extermination.
