Leaders of the European Parliament demanding Israel to end the Gaza blockade immediately news

Today, Saturday, the leaders of many political groups in the European Parliament called Israel to immediately appeal to introduce humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which faces famine as a result of the blockade imposed on it.

In a statement, the leaders called for the immediate action by the Israeli government, in cooperation with the United Nations and humanitarian organizations, to ensure that the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid necessary for the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The statement called for the immediate and effective international action to alleviate the unbearable humanitarian crisis in Gaza against the backdrop of the siege imposed by Israel and prevents the access of humanitarian aid to civilians who live in inhumane conditions.

The signatories condemned the statement, “Any work of politicization or militarization of humanitarian assistance.”

Meanwhile, the leaders of the European parliamentary blocs called on the European Union to make proactive diplomatic efforts to achieve a permanent truce in Gaza and reaffirm the European Parliament’s commitment to the two -state solution.

The statement issued Manfred Weber, of the European People’s Party bloc, Earliax Garcia from the group of socialists and Democrats, Valerie Hayer from the European Renewal Bloc, Terry Rentte and Bass Ikhout from the Greens/Free European Alliance, and Martin Sherdvan Manalisar.

The United Nations had warned earlier today that Israel used aid in Gaza as a “taste” in order to force the Palestinians to flee from their areas, especially from the northern Gaza Strip to its south, stressing that there is no “failure” in its distribution.

Amid a suffocating siege imposed by Israel on the Gaza Strip since last March, basic commodity prices have recorded unprecedented levels described as imagination.

On Wednesday, the World Central Central Cuel Organization, which provides meals for Gaza residents since the beginning of the genocide, announced that it is no longer able to cook new meals due to the depletion of food supplies and fuel shipments needed to cook meals or prepare bread as a result of the Israeli siege.

The Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa, the Gaza Strip, also announced a “famine area”, due to the Israeli siege and the ongoing genocide.
