Sheikh Laith Al -Balous, a leader in the Group of Dignity, held today, Saturday, the responsibility of violations and bloodshed in the endosperm (southern Syria) for those who sought to plunge the Druze into foreign conflicts and projects aimed at tearing the Syrian national fabric and achieving the interests of hostile countries.
Al -Balous said – in a statement posted on his Facebook account – that they were in the movement of men of dignity, since the fall of Bashar al -Assad’s regime late last year, initiatives that preserve the endosperm and its people and prevent bloodshed, but they were rejected by those who chose intransigence and individuality by the sect’s decision, which led to this painful fate, as he put it.
He added that the entry of Syrian military forces into some areas in As -Suwayda a few days ago came after notifying the (Druze) references, but they did not know anyone for reasons that he described as mysterious.
Sheikh Al -Baloos urged the people of As -Suwayda to be real partners in implementing the ceasefire agreement, protecting civilians, and pushing a national political solution, and he also called on the Syrians to unity, warning that what is being woven for the endosperm is intended to expand to others.
The Druze leader praised the position of a number of notables and references to the endosperm who declared their support for the state, “Dealing with the people of the Druze community should not be in a religious or sectarian standpoint but rather from a national standpoint.”
Al -Balous called on the Syrian authorities to assume their full responsibilities, open an urgent investigation into the violations that affected civilians in As -Suwayda, and to work hard to prevent their repetition, and ensure the security of citizens.
The UN Security Council also called for responsible decisions in support of stability standing alongside the Syrian state and its children in the face of systematic destruction projects.
The leader of the men of dignity condemned an attack that targeted the shrine of the late Sheikh Abu Fahd Waheed Al -Balous, saying that he had occurred by factions he described as barbarism.
It is noteworthy that the endosperm witnessed in the few days bloody clashes that killed hundreds of people, and the Syrian forces intervened in an attempt to control the situation, but they were attacked by local factions and Israeli strikes, which forced them to withdraw from the province, before a new agreement was reached stipulating the deployment of security forces again in As -Suwayda.
