Mahmoud wanted to become a journalist, just like his father.
Determined to share the stories of his homeland with the world, the 16-year-old, known as “young Wael”, along with his sister Khuloud, began recording videos during the latest Israeli bombings on Gaza.
“In Gaza, there is no safe place… this is the (fiercet) and most violent war we have experienced in Gaza. Help us stay alive,” the young Dahdouh duo pleaded in unison.
Help us stay alive
On the night of October 25, Mahmoud was killed, along with his mother, his seven-year-old sister Sham, his one-and-a-half-year-old nephew Adam, and 21 others, in an Israeli air raid on the Nuseirat camp where the family was sheltering after the Israeli army asked them to move south for their safety.
