Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, 59, is in excellent health, according to a medical report released this Saturday. She would have “the physical and mental resilience” to govern. But what about Donald Trump?
Less than three weeks before the American presidential election, the Democratic camp published this Saturday the latest health report on Kamala Harris. From which it appears that the candidate, aged 59, “possesses physical and mental resilience” necessary to serve as president, according to Dr. Joshua Simmons, a U.S. Army colonel and physician to the vice president for three and a half years. His report further indicates that Kamala Harris is also suitable to become Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
THE press release (in English) published by the White House is very detailed. We learn that Kamala Harris “has a medical history marked by seasonal allergies and hives.” That she is therefore subject to allergic rhinitis and other conjunctivitis “well managed with over-the-counter and prescription medications.
The hives she suffers from “also responded very well to antihistamine treatment”. The vice-president also followed “allergen immunotherapy” for three years and “her allergy symptoms and hives improved significantly, to the point where she did not require any medication to manage these symptoms.”
The medical report from Doctor Joshua Simmons also specifies that the Democratic candidate “suffers from slight myopia” And “that she wears corrective contact lenses with 20/20 vision.”
The health check also mentions his family history which “distinguished by a maternal history of colon cancer”. But Kamala Harris “has no personal history of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart and lung disease.”
It is noted that she “presents a low risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease” and that she “maintains a healthy lifestyle and active despite his busy schedule, including vigorous daily aerobic exercise and basic strength training.”
Besides its “very healthy diet”, the presidential candidate “does not use tobacco products and drinks only occasionally and in moderation”indicates Doctor Simmons who also reports his patient’s blood pressure while giving information on the state of her main organs. The report states that “its motor, sensory and cerebellar functions” judged “normal”. We also learn that the candidate was probably too exposed to the sun. Her “Skin examination is normal except for slight sun damage in sun-exposed areas.”
As for his blood tests, they show nothing to worry about. and “are within normal limits.”
Supporters of Kamala Harris now intend to surf on this health check to remind us that Donald Trump, since the assassination attemptduring which he suffered a slight ear injury last July, has communicated very little about his state of health.
