Jerusalemite bodies call for urgent measures to stop the attacks on Al-Aqsa news

Today, Tuesday, a number of Islamic institutions in Jerusalem called on the Islamic nation and the Organization of the Islamic Conference in particular to take urgent and effective measures to stop the Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

This came in a joint statement by the Council of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, the Supreme Islamic Authority, the Palestinian Fatwa House, the Chief Justice Department, and the Department of Islamic Endowments and Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Islamic bodies called on “the Islamic nation represented by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation – by virtue of their doctrinal and political duty – to take urgent and effective measures to stop the horrific and escalating Judaization attacks, which threaten the safety and function of the first qibla and the journey and ascension of the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.”

She said, “The occupation government and its security services are now enabling Jewish extremists to change the existing religious, historical, and legal status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, by allowing large numbers of them to carry out a frenzied campaign of practicing Talmudic prayers, lying down, blowing trumpets, performing dancing, promiscuity, singing, screaming, raising flags, and breaking and stealing the stones of the mosque.” This is a blatant and provocative challenge to all Muslims and free people of the world.”

The Islamic bodies in Jerusalem urged “the bodies of scholars of the Islamic nation and the Muslims of Palestine and the world to take urgent action, each according to their ability, to defend the Blessed Al-Aqsa and travel to pray there.”

She stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque “with its area of 144 dunums above and below the ground (…) is a purely Islamic mosque that does not accept division, polytheism, or partnership.”

It condemned “in the strongest terms the violations of the Jewish extremists and the occupation authorities in the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,” stressing that those violations are “legally, historically, legally, and religiously invalid, and that they are a desecration of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and a violation of its sanctity. God will thwart them in this world and punish them in the afterlife.”

The Islamic bodies in Jerusalem warned Muslims in general and their officials in particular “that the wrath of God Almighty will befall them if they continue to remain silent and refrain from protecting the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

It called on the international community to “support the efforts of the Hashemite Custodian (Jordan) over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and to take urgent action to stop the very dangerous escalation in violations by the occupation authorities.”

Today, Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that there is “an ongoing Palestinian-Jordanian movement to protect Al-Aqsa, expose the occupation’s violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, and mobilize the broadest international front of pressure to protect Jerusalem and its sanctities.”

She added, in a statement, a copy of which was received by Tel Aviv Tribune Net, that she views “with great seriousness the daily escalation in the raids of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settlers, and the escalation of their performing more Talmudic rituals and prayers in its courtyards, in an attempt to turn this scene into a tangible and familiar reality due to its repetition every day.” “With the aim of accelerating its spatial division until the mosque is demolished and the alleged structure is built in its place.”

She said, “The Israeli government and its far-right cornerstones are deliberately changing the historical and legal reality existing in the mosque as an integral part of the Judaization of Jerusalem and its Christian and Islamic sanctities.”

This week, when the Jewish Sukkot Day falls, Al-Aqsa Mosque was subjected to massive incursions by settlers, during which they performed Biblical rituals that affect the existing status of the mosque and its Arab and Islamic identity.

According to the Islamic Endowments Department, 4,668 settlers participated in the raids over a period of 3 days, amid military reinforcements in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Old Jerusalem.
