About 300 male and female students from Al-Quds University participated in the “Al-Quds Elite” initiative to recite the Holy Quran, which was organized by the Holy Quran Forum at the university.
Muhammad Hosni, one of the supervisors of the initiative, said that it is the first of its kind at Al-Quds University and has been graded into 5 levels, according to the number of parts that the student memorizes.
While the head of the Holy Quran Forum Committee, Muhammad Youssef Dofsh, said that the initiative took into account the disparity in memorization, and left it to the students to choose the parts they wish to hear, starting from one part up to the entire Qur’an.
In turn, Professor Dr. Orwa Sabri, Dean of the Faculties of “Qur’an and Islamic Studies” and “Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion” at Al-Quds University, pointed out that about 300 male and female students at the university level participated in the narration. He explained that the goal is to encourage university students to memorize the Holy Qur’an.
