Tel Aviv Tribune showed exclusive scenes of the bombing by fighters of the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – the headquarters of the occupation army in the Netzarim axis, east of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
The scenes – titled “mortar fragments are waiting for you” – concerned the bombing of the Israeli army control site and command with mortar shells in the Netzarim axis, and Al-Qassam said that the bombing led to the death of two Israeli soldiers.
The footage showed monitoring the movement of the occupation forces and their position in the place, then preparing the launching pads and launching the missiles, leading to the launching process and monitoring the places where they fell.
The scenes also included the arrival of military reinforcements to the site and military ambulances to evacuate the dead and wounded, as well as the take-off of helicopters for the same goal.
Over the past few months, resistance factions have intensified their bombardment of the occupation forces positioned in the Netzarim axis – which separates the northern Gaza Strip from its center and south – with mortar shells and short-range missiles such as “107” and “Rajoum.”
Details of the bombing
In turn, the Israeli newspaper “Maariv” revealed the details of the bombing of the Netzarim axis, and said that the resistance discovered the Alexandroni Brigade unit, which was moving on foot yesterday afternoon, Thursday, and bombarded the force with 5 mortar shells.
She pointed out that the Israeli soldiers did not have enough time to take cover in the open space and were injured by the explosion of mortar shells near them.
Regarding the losses, the Israeli newspaper said that the two officers, Saadia Yaqoub Deri and Omar Samadja, were killed instantly, and 8 soldiers were injured, 3 of them seriously.
She pointed out that the process of rescuing the injured was complicated when the occupation forces opened heavy fire on the area from which the Palestinians fired shells, while army medical teams provided rapid first aid and evacuated the injured with the help of a helicopter to hospitals in central Israel.
A preliminary assessment by the occupation army concluded that the force was conducting a foot patrol in an open and exposed area, which made it difficult for the soldiers to find shelter when heavy mortar shells began being fired at them.
The Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza have been documenting their operations against the occupation army forces and vehicles on various fronts of combat since the start of the Israeli ground operation on October 27, and many details of the operations carried out against the occupation forces appeared in the video clips.
