It happens at night… raids on Beirut, Israel intercepts marches, and Austin calls Gallant | news

Tonight, the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip continued, as did the incursions into the West Bank, and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced an attack on a vital target in Israel.

Below are the highlights of what happened during the night:

Lebanon Front

Israel renewed its raids on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, launching 10 successive raids since midnight tonight, according to what Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent confirmed.

The Israeli army preempted the raids by asking residents of areas in the suburb to evacuate their homes.

Reuters news agency says that tonight’s raids are the first launched by Israel on the southern suburb in about a week.

The raids followed a day that witnessed heavy Israeli losses, as the occupation army admitted that seven Israelis were killed by Lebanese Hezbollah missiles, and it also announced that 11 soldiers were wounded in one day during battles in southern Lebanon.

Marches

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq said that it attacked with drones a vital target in the south of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Shortly after, the resistance clarified that the intended target was located in the Syrian Golan region, which Israel has occupied since 1967.

The occupation army also announced that the Air Force intercepted two marches in the Red Sea region before they entered Israeli territory.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Home Front said that sirens sounded in several areas of the Galilee finger in northern Israel.

Gaza Strip

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the Israeli army launched raids on various areas of the northern Gaza Strip.

West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces continued their almost daily raids into areas in the West Bank, as they stormed tonight the Kafr Saba neighborhood in the city of Qalqilya, located in the northern occupied West Bank.

At the same time, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that Israeli bulldozers damaged its office in the Nour Shams camp in the West Bank.

Agency Commissioner Philippe Lazzarini said – on the X platform – that the office was severely damaged and that it was no longer fit for use.

Austin and Gallant

The US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) said that Secretary Lloyd Austin made contact with his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant.

Austin stressed Washington’s readiness to defend its personnel and partners throughout the region against Iranian threats.

The American and Israeli ministers also reviewed what they described as steps to improve the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
