Israel’s war on Gaza has left devastating traces and the lives of more than two million Palestinians have been seriously disrupted.
Long lines of people waiting for food aid have become commonplace. In hospitals, the situation is disastrous: injured civilians are flooding the emergency rooms. Entire families were wiped out in the bombings, leaving behind only grief and despair.
Homes – once symbols of stability – have been reduced to rubble, displacing hundreds of thousands of people who now seek refuge in overcrowded refugee camps or makeshift accommodation.
These images from last year reflect only a fraction of the suffering endured by Palestinians in Gaza.
