Israel’s allegations to justify attacks on health facilities in Gaza policy

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said that Israel does not provide sufficient evidence to substantiate its allegations that Hamas is using hospitals in Gaza for military purposes.

During a Security Council session regarding the attacks on the health sector in Gaza, Turk called for investigation and accountability for these violations. During the session, most member states called on Israel to stop its violations of international law, while the American deputy delegate called for the condemnation of Hamas and urged Israel to comply with international law.
