Israeli writer: For these three reasons, Lebanon must be bombed and invaded immediately Policy

An Israeli writer identified 3 justifications that he said were sufficient to make Israel follow a more aggressive approach in both Gaza and Lebanon, considering that diplomacy had failed and that Israel must bomb deep into Lebanon and invade this country immediately.

Martin Oliner – in an opinion article in the Jerusalem Post newspaper – expressed his doubts that there would be any chances for the success of the diplomatic track, “due to the obsessive anti-Semitism of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Hezbollah, and the incompetence of the administration of US President Joe Biden towards Israel.”

He added that any agreement requires Hezbollah to fulfill its obligations under International Resolution 1701 by completely disarming and leaving the area south of the Litani River, explaining that no one believes that this party, after 18 years, will suddenly respect those obligations after “having amassed more than 150 terrorists during that period.” A thousand missiles and became the dominant force in the Lebanese government,” he said.

He pointed out that his call on Israel to bomb Lebanon immediately is based on three justifications:

Too many Israelis have been displaced for too long, and there seems to be no way we can “win the war without destroying our enemies, especially after the failure of our approach in Gaza, which required lessons to be learned that must be exploited immediately.”

Oliner, who is the head of the Religious Zionists Organization in the United States, explained that 60,000 people were evacuated from their homes in the northern communities of Israel, and they expected to return days after their exit, but after more than 8 months they are still waiting, “and it seems that Israeli officials and even the world More broadly, their plight was ignored,” he said.

The writer claimed that the number of rockets launched – since the beginning of the current Gaza war – from Lebanon exceeds what was launched from Gaza, and that the fires devoured 80 square kilometers (31 square miles) in northern Israel. According to him, there is a very large number of Israelis who live in fear. In areas that were not evacuated, but Hezbollah missiles reached them in this war.

The writer incited the immediate launch of war on Lebanon, stressing that “wars are not won by defense or by a futile approach to attack.”

  • The second justification

Israel must fight for victory, which, according to the author, means not adhering to the rules of protecting civilians if this risks “the lives of our young soldiers who are prevented from shooting.”

In this regard, he said: “Rules are supposed to be violated when it comes to reducing casualties among the ranks of the Israeli army and saving the lives of our boys and girls in the war against evil. Israel must get rid of the idea that its army must wage a clean war,” he said.

The writer expected that there would be many casualties on “our side if we invade Lebanon, but the Israeli army must take the necessary precautions to keep its soldiers safe, and the only way to achieve victory is to inflict heavy losses on your enemy, and there is a need to destroy and kill: this is what war means.” .

  • The third justification

Israel is losing the war in Gaza, which Oliner attributed to the excessive caution of the Israeli forces as they dealt with Gaza and its residents and “exerting great efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the enemy population in Gaza, who, instead of providing information to help us find our hostages, held them captive themselves.” “.

Here, the writer denounced the Biden administration’s reluctance to provide a major shipment of bombs weighing two thousand pounds, which could be used in this type of strike to end the war successfully, as he put it.

The writer expected that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would announce – in his speech before the US Congress next month – that Israel had won its war, but he expressed his hope that this announcement would be justified.

Commenting on this, Albert Einstein said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results,” indicating that Israel cannot afford to make more mistakes, and this is the right time to bomb and invade Lebanon, and to do it right in the end. Ultimately,” he said.
