“Devastating” scenes have been reported in northern and central Gaza as the Israeli army continues its bombardments on the enclave.
Dozens of Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on northern and central Gaza, as the besieged territory marks the grisly anniversary of the start of the Israeli war.
At least 56 Palestinians were killed in strikes overnight Monday to Tuesday, Gaza’s health ministry said, although the number of deaths reported by sources varied.
The losses bring the total number of deaths since the outbreak of war following Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7 last year to 41,965. The ministry added that another 97,590 people were injured.
At least 30 people, including six children and two women, were killed overnight near the central town of Deir el-Balah, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital reported, after homes in the refugee camp de Bureij were hit.
