Israeli media reported that a Border Police officer was slightly injured in a stabbing attack at Damascus Gate in Jerusalem.

According to Israeli media, the perpetrator of the stabbing operation was killed after the occupation soldiers shot him.

For her part, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the occupation police closed the doors of Al-Aqsa Mosque and all the doors of the Old City in occupied Jerusalem following this operation, and merchants were forced to close their shops in the Old City.

This stabbing comes amid an escalation of attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, by the Israeli army and settlers, since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds and the injury of thousands.

With American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, leaving more than 136,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and deadly famine.
