A number of Palestinians, including children, were martyred and others were injured, today, Monday, in a series of Israeli raids targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip, while military vehicles made a limited incursion into the east of the city of Deir al-Balah (central), under heavy fire cover.
Medical sources at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City reported to Anadolu Agency that Israeli warplanes targeted 3 homes in the city, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries, including children.
The Anadolu correspondent, quoting eyewitnesses, said that the Israeli air strikes hit a house in the vicinity of the “Sheikh Zakaria” Mosque in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza City, another in the Al-Sabra neighborhood south of the city, and a third house for the Al-Arouqi family in the Abu Iskandar area in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza.
Witnesses explained that all the targeted homes in Gaza City were inhabited by residents and displaced people.
In the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli aircraft bombed a house. There were a number of dead and wounded, according to eyewitnesses.
Al-Aqsa satellite channel said that Israeli occupation aircraft and artillery are violently and continuously bombing various areas of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army also intensified its bombing of Gaza, killing 31 people in the Nuseirat camp in the center of the Strip, according to the local civil defense.
Israeli forces continue their incursion into large areas in the northern Gaza Strip, at a time when the region is witnessing violent clashes between Palestinian resistance elements and the Israeli army, according to local sources.
In the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, medical sources at the Kuwaiti Hospital said that 3 Palestinians were killed and 7 others, including children, were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted the Khafaja family in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of the city.
Battles continue between the Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli forces penetrating the city of Rafah, as columns of smoke rise from several areas east of the city, and sounds of artillery shelling and mutual clashes are heard from time to time.
In a separate development, Israeli military vehicles made a limited incursion east of the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
Anatolia reported that Israeli forces penetrating east of Deir al-Balah were firing heavy machine guns at Palestinian homes and carrying out bulldozing operations dozens of meters away from the separating border fence.
Palestinian media reported that fierce clashes broke out between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces, coinciding with artillery shelling in the city of Deir al-Balah.
Israeli forces carry out similar incursions at frequent intervals into areas near the eastern border fence of the Gaza Strip, with the aim of conducting combing operations in the area.
On the other hand, Israeli media said that sirens were sounding in Sderot on the Gaza Strip, after a new missile salvo was launched from the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli war on Gaza, which has been ongoing since October 7, left more than 114,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
Israel continues the war on Gaza despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and also despite the International Court of Justice demanding immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
